1. Jacob Lukowski really stood out as an unexpected talent when it came to painting this week. He got things done really fast, but good too. Everyone was very dedicated to their painting this work this week, I think most of them would view this week as the "payoff", the apprentices were all very professional and worked well together as per the usual.
2. On Friday 03/14/08 Marcelo Alamo was absent due to a school retreat. This absence was excused as he had notified us well beforehand. Dominique Strapp was also absent, her sister called Meghan that day to notify us Dominique was ill and in the hospital. On Saturday 03/15/08 Dominque was absent again, though she was released from teh hospital her doctor did not give her clearance to return to work. Dominique called to check in though. We will consider these absences excused since an attempt was made to notify us of her sudden illness and later she did make contact with us.
Everyone in attendance wore their shirts both days.
3. The painting went off without a hitch and I would say we are now ahead of schedule. I have plenty of ideas for work to fill in the time. We will also move on to completing the artists' statements.
